Somebody once said be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for taking the time to be here.
My entrepreneurial journey began in 2016. After spending over a decade in the education system and working in several part-time jobs in tandem, making a means to an end just to “survive” and pay the bills. I was looking for something more. I was looking for financial independence - granting me time and money combined. I was first introduced into the world of business by a stranger I happened to come across at the gym.
In the beginning, it was all about money for me. I wanted to make something out of myself. I always knew deep down that I had much more in me than trading my hours for money. I was a hard worker and I had worked everywhere prior. Customer service, retail, delivery driver, admin – you name it. However, I was never truly satisfied being in a job I did not like, around people I did not want to be around, making money I was dissatisfied with. I soon realized that working hard alone was not going to get me to where I needed to be but rather working smart was what I need to incorporate because if doing what I was doing would have gotten me to where I needed to be – I would’ve been there already. For things to change I had to change. For things to get better, I had to get better. For things to improve, I had to improve because before financial success can occur, personal growth must occur. When you grow, everything in your life grows with you.
Between the year 2016-2018, I was involved in an online e-commerce business which, remunerated me a passive income residually just like royalties. I gained a lot of knowledge and experience from various successful individuals plus insight into the world of business. However, for personal reasons, I parted ways with the business in order to set up my own business. The vision never changed only the strategy. I learned to date the strategy and marry the vision. You may need to employ different methods of strategy to get to your end goal however, the vision should always remain the same hence why you marry it!
My objective now is to share as much value as I can and also connect with like-minded individuals. If you are not where you want to be in life but you work hard and feel, as you’re not getting anywhere, chances are, you have been misinformed on what is actually required for you to win. You are retaining information that was useful and valuable 50 odd years ago – get a well-paid occupation and save. The drawback with such philosophy is that it is no longer relevant in the millennial era. If you find yourself stuck then you need new thinking around you.
